Robot

A program where creativity meets technology!

This year, our students have been designing, building, and programming robots to tackle real-world challenges. Through hands-on learning, they are developing critical skills in STEM, teamwork, and problem-solving

Our Robotics Program empowers students to think critically, embrace innovation, and prepare for success in a technology-driven world.

MASTERSchoolZoneCameraSafetyProgramLetter (PDF)

The intent of the Coconut Creek Police Department School Zone Camera Safety Program is:

  • encourage drivers to adhere to the posted speed limits.
  • to mitigate the risks associated with speeding in areas where children are present.
  • to allow our agency to enforce traffic laws more effectively and promote the safety of our children.

A few key points to remember at this stage of the program:

  1. The cameras are now active on Johnson Road.
  2. There will be a 60-day warning period before drivers are issued citations. The warnings will come in the mail. The warning period will end on May 22nd. Citations received after that date will be for $100.
  3. Drivers doing 11 mph over the posted speed limit, be it 15 mph during the 30 minutes before breakfast in the morning (starting at 7:00 a.m.), and the 30 minutes following dismissal, or traveling 11 mph over the regular posted speed limit throughout the rest of the school day (which is 30 mph) will be issued a warning (a citation if after the 60 day warning period). The cameras will be inactive on weekends, at night, or any other time that school is not in session.

Our informational website on the program can be found at www.coconutcreek.gov/schoolzone
